    Biography  Dr. Tellier trained as a clinical microbiologist and researcher in virology. His main research interest is the study of the genetic heterogeneity of Hepatitis C Virus and its effect on the chronic disease it causes. He is also interested in the application of ¡§long PCR¡¨ to virus study, including rapid generation of infectious clones, study of quasispecies complexity over the near complete viral genome, longitudinal studies of mutation in chronic viral infectious, and viral quasispecies. Viruses of interest include enteroviruses, Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B Viruses, toroviruses and influenza virus. His main areas of activity in clinical microbiology are the supervision of the molecular microbiology laboratory and participation in the operation of the clinical virology laboratory.
