| Biography | |
Ran Chen was born in the north of China and came to Canada in 2003. She finished her MSc from Department of Medical Microbiology at the University of Manitoba working on ¡°Development and characterization of murine monoclonal antibodies capable of neutralizing vaccinia virus.¡±
Ran started her PhD program in Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology at University of Alberta in January 2008. Her current project is ¡°Studying of hepatitis C virus and hepatitis B virus co-infection in chimeric mice.¡± She really enjoys her new life in Edmonton working on hepatitis viruses in Dr. Tyrrell¡¯s lab.
