| Biography | |
Sandy Pelletier obteined her BSc. in Biology from the Univeristy of Quebec in Trois-Riviere then her M.Sc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Montreal in 2007 where she studied cancer immunology. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Dr. Naglaa Shoukry. Her project focuses on bridging innate and adaptive immunity during acute HCV infection. She will study longitudinally different cell populations of the immune system in spontaneous resolvers, chronics and exposed-uninfected within the St-Luc cohort of intravenous drug users in collaboration with Dr. Julie Bruneau. She hopes to understand how early innate immune responses protect against chronic HCV infection. |
