    Biography  Dr. Aled Edwards is Professor and Banbury Chair of Medical Research in the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research at the University of Toronto. Dr. Edwards received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University and did his postdoctoral training at Stanford University with Roger Kornberg. He is also the Chief Executive of the Structural Genomics Consortium, an Anglo-Canadian-Swedish collaboration created to increase the number of protein structures of relevance to human health available in the public domain.

    Dr. Edwards has served in management and advisory capacities for several biotechnology companies and international research consortia. His research interest in Hepatitis C understanding viral clearance mechanism is at the cellular level.
