Biography  Julia graduated from McMaster University in 2007 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Epidemiology at McGill University. Her research interests include infectious disease and public health.

Julia’s research will be carried out as part of Dr. Marina Klein’s Canadian Co-Infection Cohort study. The study follows a group of HIV and hepatitis C co-infected patients from 16 centres across Canada. The main objective is to determine the effect of highly active antiretroviral therapy on liver disease progression in co-infected patients. The focus of her project will be on the effects of antiretroviral treatment interruption on progression to end-stage liver disease.
