    Biography  Dr. Russell did his BSc in Biochemistry at Memorial University, as well as an MSc in HIV Immunology under the supervision of Dr. Michael Grant. He completed his PhD on HIV Virology at McGill University in the laboratories of Drs. Mark Wainberg and Chen Liang. He then did his postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health under the supervision of Drs. Robert Purcell and Suzanne Emerson where he began his research on HCV. Dr. Russell is currently an Assistant Professor of Immunology & Infectious Diseases within the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University.
