Testimony  I would like to say thank you for the NCRTP in HepC which bridges the existing gap between, medical and scientific research (hard science) and Social research (soft science). I benefited greatly from the Annual NCPTP-HepC PAC Meeting and the MSC 8000H course which provided me with transdisciplinary training on hepatitis C. Before I became a NCRTP-HepC trainee, I only could see limited areas for hepatitis C research, but now, the whole picture of hepatitis C is in my mind. My research focuses on hepatitis C vaccine development using a mouse model. Two months of training (research elective) in Dr. Naglaa Shoukry’s lab gave me the experience in clinical study. I learned many useful techniques for handling human blood samples from HCV infected patients.
