Biography  As an NCRTP-HepC trainee, Jason Grebely succesfully obtained his PhD. He later reapplied to the program and graduated as a post-doctoral fellow. In January 2010 he was been offered a position as a Lecturer at the University of New South Wales where he will continue his training under the supervision of Dr. Greg Dore. His research focus remains on Hepatitis C.

Testimony  My time as a trainee with the National Canadian Research Training Program in Hepatitis C has been extremely valuable for the development of my career as an independent investigator in the field of HCV infection. The training that I have received has served to improve communication with other young researchers and mentors in the field of HCV. This program provides an important network of many of the top Canadian researchers in the field of HCV and has been invaluable in the development of several transdisciplinary collaborations. Lastly, through my involvement with the NCRTP-Hep C, I have developed important relationships with the Canadian Liver Foundation and other community organizations, which has significantly enhanced my understanding of the importance of knowledge translation of research back to the community.
