Biography  Liang is a PhD. student in Microbiology and Immunology at Dalhousie University. Liang is currently working on facilitating the growth of hepatitis C virus in rodent cells through manipulation of the innate immune system. He works very industriously and has an excellent command of the virology literature.

Liang received his MSc. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto, and his BSc. in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University. Liang worked diligently to characterize the nature of an HCV replicon present in human, mouse, and bovine cell lines.

Testimony  I have recently just joined the NCRTP-HepC, but the knowledge learned and the exchange of ideas has been tremendous. The course offered is an excellent course that provides you with most up-to-date information about HCV and the mentors teaching this course are all expert researchers in the HCV field. The different training exercises involved in the program not only expose you to a variety of disciplines and professionals, but also help knowledge translation across the fields.
